This is just some general information on SecretOfLife.com and how the traffic exchange works.

After maintaining my links list manually for years and growing ever more frustrated with adding and removing links by hand, I decided to start using a traffic exchange script I happened to own an extra copy of. Once I installed it, I realized that in addition to making it easy for me to add/remove sites I find of interest, it would also be a good tool for exchanging some traffic with other webmasters.

While many of the links are still ones I find and add, others are sites I'm exchanging traffic with. Because of how the system is set up, sites sending traffic will generally be listed above sites I've added. As long as things run smooth, I'll keep the exchange open to other webmasters.

I knew I'd have to have some rules to keep things fair but I don't want to be worried about folks not playing fair. I have neither the time nor patience for playing traffic cop. I feel that the rules and policies I've settled on will help ensure a fair exchange for all.

Remember, this is *supposed* to be fun.

My main purpose is to have an easy to maintain 'links list' that also allows webmasters to exchange some traffic. Just a place where honest webmasters can exchange traffic with like minded webmasters without all the hassle of individual link trades. I rank the list by the number of referrals you send to make sure that those who participate the most see proportionate returns. As long as you are an active participant (sending some traffic) then you're welcome to determine your own best lever of participation. As always, I recommend you try things out and go with what works best for you.

As an added bonus to help all active accounts get some prime exposure, I run a 'Site of the Moment' on the main link page and each of the sub-category pages. This will get your site listed with a banner and text description.

As time permits and interest grows, I'll add more categories.
